I love lemons, the scent, the taste, the colour, I love everyting about them. I am also quite addicted to lip balms so I thought the body shop lemon lip butter would be a wise purchase for me.
My initial thoughts on buying the lip balm were mixed. I thought the packaging was cute and the lemony scent was amazing but I was not impressed with the price. I felt €5.50 for a lip balm was a little steep.
I have now been using the product for 5 days and I am very disappointed with it. It has made my lips overly dry and I have to apply it very frequently. Infact I had to go out and buy a tin of Vaseline today to try to get my lips back to normal. I will not continue to use the lemon lip butter.
Please bear in mind that these are just my thoughts on this product. I have read other excellent reviews online so it may be that it just didn't suit me.

wow i bought the melon lip balm and found the exact same thing. I loved the smell and applied it frequently the day I bought it but by that night my lips were really dry. I thought it was just me! I was tempted to buy a lip butter to see if they were any different but I thought they were a bit expensive to experiment
the yes yes yes oui oui oui is much better...more moisturising and softer in the tub too, plus the proceeds for this one go to an AIDS charity I think? I have the lemon one too, and don't like it as much as the other.
Lemon is a citrus oil and it's phototoxic so it can be problematic to many people. Since I couldn't find a listing of the ingredients I'm not sure if that's the reason it's so drying. The best lip balms are all natural and contain mainly beeswax and nut or fruit oils. They also should be flavored with pure essential oils or left as is if you have sensitive skin.

Hope this helps!
